Toni Ponce has achieved a New World Record

The swimmer from Vilafranca del Penedès has achieved a New World Record in the 50 m breastroke event during the 5th International Para Swimming Trophy.

Toni Ponce rang the bell after a brilliant morning in the Club Natació de Barcelona facilities. The swimmer broke several records, national, European and the best one, the World Record in the 50 m breastroke event with a time of 41 seconds and 16 hundredths. Also, with the New World Record, Toni Ponce got the time to participate in the Paralympic Games of Tokyo.

The 5th International Para Swimming Trophy is an inclusive competition organized by the Sports Federation for Cerebral Palsy of Catalonia (FECPC).
