Sarai Gascón, the main protagonist of the day, was really “excited” about her new world record. Gascón got the record very soon, after one hour of the beginning.

But it was not the last one for the Terrassa swimmer. She didn’t expect to get a new world record. She was not looking for it. But, on the 50 meters butterfly final, Sarai broke her own record with a time of 30 seconds and 96 tenths. “I’m surprised”, confessed Gascón after the final.

Her new world record was not the only oneMarian Polo in 100 meters backstroke (1’ 13” 37), Josu Pérez in 200m freestyle (2’ 41” 77) and Òscar Salguero (1’ 09” 79) and Toni Ponce (1’ 28” 48) in 100 meters breast, they got a Spanish new record.
