Once again, for third consecutive year, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) approved the adapted swimming trophy Gran Premi Diputació de Barcelona. So, all the marks obtained during the competition will be valid for the IPC rankings.
The competition will take place in the city of Barcelona from 20th to 22th of April in the magnificent facilities of the Club Natació Barcelona. One of the strongest points of the tournament is his capacity to create a special environment and chemistry between all the athletes due of his inclusive character. Athletes with disability compete next to non-disability athletes, getting a rich educational experience.
Last year swimmers from Austria, Kazakhstan, Hungary, United Kingdom and Spain came to Barcelona to participate in the International Trophy Adapted Swimming. Especially successfull was the tournament for Sarai Gascón. The swimmer of Terrassa got a world record, 50 meters butterfly.
